We get a lot of great comments on our skis and don't usually like to publish them. But once in a while we receive emails where our custormers are really touched when they unwrap the skis and have them in their hands. They can see and feel the quallity and craftmenship in the product. This is what building our skis is all about.
Bob- got the skis they look great and looking good in my office. Please note the story Peter posted about Lightning boards in todays daily news at www.skipressworld.com- more than 20,000 skiers will see this over the next few days. He also wrote something in our third issue
. So keep an eye out for it. Have a great winter!

Bob, I got the skis. They look great.
Thanks, Sean
Thanks Bob!
I recieved the skis shortly after you sent them. I am impressed at your business. I wish you the best of luck. Have a great season! I know I will.
Ade,
Bob,
received the skis today. They look great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perhaps I could convince you to build a pair of 18th century style skis for me at somepoint.
Thanks.
Chris
Bob,
Simply awesome.
I opened the long skinny package as soon as I got home and was blown away
by what I saw inside. I could hardly bring myself to take off the
wrapping they looked so good. Like they might not be so clean and clear
and rich without it.
But of course they are. Just beautiful and alive. Wow, what lines and
grain. Excellent to handle. Smooth, balanced, and clean. Fine and
NATURAL.
I am immensely impressed.
My next door neighbor was taken, too. He wants a pair. We agreed that
our mutual friend Howard who runs the historic Ostrander Hut in the
Yosemite backcountry and who is a great ambassador for skiing should have
a pair. I'm thinking that these will create quite a buzz. I'm heading to
Lassen National Park this weekend for the first backcountry patrollers
meeting and training session. There's not much snow but we might look at
skis anyway.
I wish I knew exactly what binding to put on them. I'm thinking maybe a
Telebulldog from 22 Designs. It's a three-pin binding without cables, but
meant to be high performance. I'd love to dress up in my leathers and
woolies but I don't want to cast these as trivially retro. I really want
to ski them and determine that they are satisfying to ski. It's just that
there is nothing I've seen that is anything like these. For right now I'm
really hooked on the beauty of these skis.
Just amazing. I'll give you a call tomorrow to discuss.
Thank you so much.

> Hey Bob, I received the skis today.....they're beautiful!! And lighterweight than I thought. They'll be great for backcountry fun. I'll hopefully be skiing when I return from the east coast in a few weeks (If we ever get any snow here!). I'll give you a review after I've had them out on the slopes a few times. thanks Gary > >
Hi Bob. Just thought I'd let you know how my new Lightning Boards are performing. On the day I took the attached picture the snow was soft-packed powder on a groomed slope. My younger son and I skied blue and black runs exclusively and I can unequivocally state that the skis were great. The all-mountain model you sent me were solid, graceful in the carved turns and never slipped away from me (even with a very bad left knee!).
The conditions here in Vancouver have been spectacular (over ten feet of snow on the local hills). I'm curious as to how these skis will perform when the slopes get icier. You might want to consider metal edges but I might be wrong. Regardless, your skis are not only works of art, they work!

Hi Bob,
Our Norheim wooden skis with bamboo poles arrived yesterday and we
couldn't be happier with them. They are beautiful.
I think your web page should have a link to the recent Boston Globe
article about long skis and the races in CA. The end is a nice
tribute to you.
Thanks for the great service and workmanship.
